Point out her status in life, the fact that my Aunt does not like her, and her financial situation, all in one conversation. My brother knows how to woo a woman.
My dear sister, I was having an “off day”. I assure you, it is not a moment I remember with pride.
An off day of stalking? “I came to Rosings with the single object of seeing you…” Brother, if I didn’t know better…
Georgiana Darcy! First I am accused of exchanging sexual innuendos with my wife for the public to view, and now I have been deemed a stalker by my own beloved sister. What a positively mortifying day it has been.
Quite amusing. Georgiana, pointing out the obvious.
You wound me, Elizabeth. Would you not agree he is a great deal too easy to tease?
A great deal too easy. I would agree, but then he takes everything so gracefully.
I am aware of what you are saying, mind you.
What IS that disturbance down the hall? It is difficult enough as it is to sleep away from ones home, but this is quickly becoming out of hand…
do you like mr. wickham better than mr. darcy, or the other way around?

I can’t help but sit in wonder toward your inquiry. Are you so blind as to not see that Mr. Darcy is my nephew by blood, while Mr. Wickham has no blood relation to myself? If you are inquiring towards the unfortunate marriages of the two, then I would still choose the company of Mr. Darcy over that of Mr. Wickham.
If you don’t believe me, then I suggest that you sit down and either watch one of the Pride and Prejudice films, or I daresay read the book!
My dear Lady Catherine, have you yet been acquainted with your nephew's mother in law Mrs. Bennet?
I met Mrs. Bennet when I called upon the Bennet home to discourage a young lady from marrying my nephew. The house has a small, but pleasant park that I have rather unpleasant memories of. Mrs. Bennet… well, we all know of Mrs. Bennet.

Dear Tumblr followers,
I wish to apologize in advance and inform you that the next few weeks I’m not going to be on Tumblr very often. College is starting up and I’m juggling a full load along with work. Evenings will be full of homework and reading. I promise that when I am bored of reading and tests that I (I mean, Lady Catherine) will respond to your inquiries.
Do you visit Pemberley after Darcy and Elizabeth's marriage?

Anonymous
I am actually planning a visit to Pemberley on Thursday. Otherwise, I usually keep in contact with Mr. and Mrs. Darcy via post. Mrs. Darcy and I exchange letters on occasion, but usually we do not have social gatherings.
... Have you ever realized how much you annoy the others for the duration of the story?
I am aware that due to my forward nature, many don’t care for me. It is no concern of mine, however.
My goodness, my DEAR Lady Catherine, may I just say how splendid it is to see such a wonderful influence as yourself on tumblr! I hope you approve of my having one, as I thought it could do no harm, being in better contact with my dear cousin and your nephew- and now yourself! God is good to us, is He not Lady Catherine!?
Mr. Collins, it is of no concern of mine as to your business here. I understand though your desire to continue your correspondence with your family, as I desire to oversee what transpires amongst my own family members.
Lady Catherine, my family has recently been hassling me to start looking for a boyfriend and settling down with a family before I am 30. Granted, I think that this is premature since I am only 21, but my family seems to fear that in my pursuit of going to law school and becoming a lawyer I will put work ahead of love life and relationships. What do you think I should do? Should a girl in her 20s put work ahead of her love life?

In the 1800’s, it was the woman’s duty to marry as soon as they could, and to remain at home.
I understand that this is no longer “the norm” in this era. While I can understand your family’s desire for you to settle and marry, there is no hurry. I have seen many couples “fall in love” only to discover that they weren’t “in love” but merely infatuated with their partner. Taking the time to grow up and gain a degree along with life experience is favorable in this day and age. Who knows, perhaps a fellow law student will catch your eye?
I wish you luck with your choice, be it your education or your society life,
Lady Catherine de Bourgh
Did Ms. Anne de Bourgh ever marry, your ladyship?
No, she has not. I fear her poor health and weak constitution will render her an old maid. However, I have not ceased watching for a gentleman who will take her as his wife. One cannot be certain of anything, I can assure you.
How is Anne these days, Lady Catherine? I always thought of her as such an accomplished young lady. I can only assume that she's even more charming than she was at our last meeting!
My dear Mr. Wickham,
Do refrain from inquiring about my daughter again.
